Our History

In December of 2012 – Jeff and Tracy Borlaug signed the Brody Borlaug Pediatric Immunology Endowment Agreement for professorship in Pediatric Immunology.  The purpose of the endowment is to ultimately create a professorship in Immunology in Brody’s name at OHSU/Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.

In June of 2012, Jeff Borlaug was elected to the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Board of Directors joining an already stellar line up of business, civic and philanthropic leaders. Jeff brings a unique perspective to the board based on his personal experience and time spent at Doernbecher with Brody.

In 2012, Jeff and Tracy received recognition as the recipients of the Commercial Association of Brokers 2011 Co-Humanitarian Of The Year Award for their efforts establishing the Brody Borlaug Foundation.

In 2011, an evolving endowment–with a specific use for Pediatric Immunology–was established in Brody’s name at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. The incredibly generous community of people that we are surrounded by, and proud to be a part of, contributed $12,500 to the Brody Borlaug Immunology Fund in his memory.

In August of 2011, Tracy and Jeff Borlaug started the Brody Borlaug Foundation, just two months after Brody passed.  The inaugural golf tournament was held five weeks later, raising $31,000.  In October, a check in this amount was presented  to Dr. Stacy Nicholson, Chair of Pediatrics, and the Doernbecher faculty towards the Brody Borlaug Immunology Fund.
